Bruce’s Personal Experience

For Bruce, the majority of his training has been in Public Practice; Although, he has also worked for the Canada Revenue Agency as a Financial Analyst for the Molson’s Group of Companies and as a Senior Corporate Accountant for the Real Estate Developer Bramalea Limited. This expanded experience outside of working with small businesses as Bruce does today has proven invaluable; He has learned, firsthand, how Canada Revenue Agency works, analyzed retail businesses for Molson’s and worked in Corporate Planning at Bramalea which had $ 8.4 Billion in Real Estate assets throughout America.

After getting his start in a small Public Practice firm of Chartered Accountants in Vernon,. B.C. Bruce found it very interesting to work his way through CRA in Vancouver and into large corporations in Toronto. The Toronto experience provided him with additional tools that helped him return to B.C. and to his roots in Public Accounting focused on small businesses as a “sole practitioner.” Being a sole practitioner requires a great deal of self-sufficiency. This self-sufficiency is supported by the broad experience Bruce has acquired. allowing him to be capable of dealing with the immense amount of change in taxation, accounting and technology.
